Westhope, ND, June 18, 2010, Ward Williston Oil Company's COO, Nathan Conway was selected as one of North Dakota's most promising young executives by North Dakota Business Watch Magazine.
Nathan's dynamic energy and leadership qualities have made him one of the shining stars in the North Dakota oil industry. He began his career at the age of 16 and worked his way through college in the oil fields. Upon completion of his college education, Nathan took a job as Assistant to the President of Ward Williston Oil Company and quickly moved through the ranks to become the Chief Operating Officer.
"The field experience early on in my life was paramount in helping kick start my career as a professional in the oil and gas industry," said Nathan, who since has earned his MBA from the University of Michigan.
Nathan's list of accomplishments are vast, including bringing his company to dazzling heights with a 426.6% growth over the past 4 years. Nathan is a seasoned leader and has the ability to nurture and encourage his people creating a successful working environment.
"My parents taught me a work ethic at a very early age," said Nathan. "That experience coupled with great mentors throughout my career and a boss who gave me the tools and guidance I needed to grow have helped lead to my success."
When not pushing himself to the top of his career field, Nathan devotes much of his time and funds to help feed starving children in Africa through the humanitarian organization, JAM International.
Nathan was chosen as one of 40 leaders under the age of 40 in the annual "40 Under 40" recognition by Business Watch Magazine. The competition covers a cross section of young professionals from a variety of industries doing business in North Dakota.
